Besides Cotton, there weren't many positives for Ed Cooley's Friars. Tyler Harris scored 19 points but wasn't very effective, taking several ill advised shots and going 7-18 from the field. However, he did play nearly the entire 40 minutes for the team and was able to hit a few big 3 point shots in the contest. The team simply didn't do a good job crashing the boards or securing the ball, as they lost the turnover margin and held a very slight rebounding advantage. This is a worry against a Yale team that doesn't have a dominant frontcourt. Somebody's gotta step up for the Friars and crash the boards. They can't rely on LaDontae Henton playing much bigger than he is and securing 10 boards every night. If this means getting seven footer Carson DesRosiers more playing time than that's what Cooley needs to do. The big man grabbed six boards in only 19 minutes tonight, he just needs to show a little more toughness.
A win's a win, and PC will try to successfully close out their out of conference schedule in games against Maine and UMass. The UMass game will be one of the first true tests for the team, as Kentucky was the only other top 25 team that they will have played up to this point. Also, the UMass game will mark the team's first real road game (because URI is irrelevant).
