Great Story About Josephine Gay

video courtesy of ESPN

Last Saturday was the one year anniversary of the Sandy Hook shootings in Newtown, CT. All of us here at Way More are from Connecticut and have even seen our high school play Newtown High in sports, which made the events of that day hit home even more. This was an unbelievable tragedy for our state and our nation, and it's important to remember this day and all of the victims of the shootings.

A few minutes ago I watched this story by Rick Reilly from ESPN about a die hard Ravens fan Josephine Gay. Josephine, or "Joey" had severe autism and was one of the victims in the shooting. This especially hit home for me being from CT, but also as a college kid living in Baltimore. Last year the city of Baltimore was an amazing place to be when the Ravens won the Super Bowl, and is a memory I will never forget for the rest of my life. The Ravens last year seemed like a team of destiny that got everything going right at the exact right time. I'd like to think Josephine played a part in that.

RIP victims of the Sandy Hook shooting. Gone but never forgotten.
