Fantasy Football

So as many people know this week was championship week on yahoo for fantasy football. I am the commissioner  in a 12 person league, which includes all of the writers here at Way More Than Sports.  It's a good time we usually have fun with it, and obviously have the occasional fight or two. But last night was the worst thing I have ever seen happen to someone in my time playing fantasy football. Our friend Ben went into the night up by around 35 points against our other buddy Mike.  Ben had no players left and mike had Kappernick and 49ers D.  No one really thought much of it. Seemed like pretty good odds that Ben was going to win, but boy were we wrong...so wrong.

Let's fast forward to the last few minutes of lasts nights game shall we. Ben is up a good amount cruising along. The game has gotten closer but still seems like it's his to win. Then I get a text from Ben saying "a pick six would be bad". Two seconds later bang pick six. Oh and he wasn't done there. At this point now Ben is up around 1.5.  He texts me "a pick and I lose" again like clockwork Matt Ryan a few minutes later throws a bomb as time expires, that gets picked off in the end zone.  Ben ended up losing just like he said he would if that happened. The worst part about it is that he lost by less than a point. I am pretty sure I texted everyone in the league after the last play of the game, just in complete shock. I couldn't feel worse for Ben, but don't get me wrong he clearly didn't deserve to win if that's the way your team is going to play in crunch time.  Godspeed Ben.

PS- how long is Ben going to sit a dark room just thinking about his title dreams being crushed?
